About Us

We are S&Z – an international boutique consultancy with offices in Hamburg and New York. For over 25 years, we have been supporting organizations worldwide in their transformation at the intersection of strategy, responsibility, and impact.

In more than 750 sustainability projects in over 15 countries, we have helped companies translate responsibility into measurable results: from resilient supply chains and transparent reporting to strategy development.

Our interdisciplinary team of more than 15 experts brings together expertise from business, law, sustainability management, politics, communication, geography, and environmental sciences. Together, we work globally – with a systemic view, a pragmatic attitude, and a passion for guiding organizations from insight to implementation.

Where we come from

Schlange, Zamostny & Co. was founded in 2006 as a spin-off of the Otto Group, a retail e-commerce company operating in more than 20 countries, and has since been successfully run by its Managing Partners, Joachim Schlange and Andreas Zamostny.

Together with Jakobine Sauerbruch, who was part of the founding team, we envisioned establishing a new type of consultancy: One that makes sustainability and Corporate Responsibility tangible and manageable, one that is recognized as a loyal and competent partner and one that, in accordance with our own standards, acts sustainably.
